VocationVacations® - Hilton HHonors® Rewards
Wine MakerJunction City, OR
Reward code: VVWMPV
Hilton HHonors® Points: 650,000
Have you spent a heady weekend in wine country fantasizing about the
life of a Wine Maker? Uncorked a great bottle of wine and pondered
watching the vines grow and then enjoying the season of “crush”? Wine
Maker Robin Pfeiffer and his wife Danuta of Pfeiffer Vineyards want to share their winemaker’s lifestyle for a couple of days with you!
Robin
was a teacher for thirty years but gave up the classroom for the
vineyards in 1983. He has lived his whole life on the same 240 acres in
Junction City, Oregon. Back in the early 80’s, Robin began to get
inquiries from realtors about selling parcels of his land. After some
research, Robin realized that they specialized in vineyard land and
found that his land was perfect for growing grapes. Considering himself
a quick study, he decided to give it a try himself and began to plant
acres upon acres of grapes! For the first few years he only sold grapes
to other wineries but over the last few years Robin has made his own
wines which are now sold through Pfeiffer Vineyards.
Danuta and
Robin have turned the vineyards into a spectacular site for wedding
receptions, Wine Maker dinners and other special events. After working
all day with Robin, you will be able to relax and enjoy the beauty of
the vineyards while dining on gourmet meals prepared by Danuta. Danuta
is the former host of “Sun Up San Diego” and had the privilege of
working with some of the world’s greatest chefs - getting all kinds of
wonderful recipes and pointers. A wonderful meal in the scenic Oregon
vineyards is the perfect end to a hard day’s work in the fields.
