Jack and Iva have over 40 years of pastry andchocolate passion and expertise that they and their staff will sharewith you.

Jack is 100% Swiss-American. He studied and trained inSwitzerland by the world’s best pastry chefs and chocolatiers. Jackknows his truffles and cakes! What one may find most special about Jackis his "empowerment of passion" to his team of experts. As a 14-yearstroke survivor, Jack exudes a special sense of living life to itsfullest – each and every day counts. Work hard, play hard….and ENJOYwhat you do, says Jack!

While Vocationing as a Chocolatier and Pastry Chef, you will work in some or all of the following activities:

  • Mixing Jack’s secret ingredients
  • Baking
  • Frosting
  • Decorating
  • Mixing chocolate
  • Dipping chocolate
  • Molding
  • Making truffles

The Chocolatier and Pastry Chef VocationVacations® adventure includes:

  • One-day of one-on-one mentorship in your dream job as a Pastry Chef and one day in your dream job as a Chocolatier
  • The ability to take the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®), an online personality assessment designed to identify interests and skill sets
  • The opportunity to participate in a total of one hour of pre- and post-VocationVacation career coaching from an accredited, affiliated VocationVacations career coach
  • A pocket-size VocationVacations journal so you can document your dream job becoming a reality
  • Light lunches with your mentor
Available: All year, Monday - Friday based on mentor's availability with exception of holidays

Reservation, Cancellation and Rescheduling Rules and Conditions:
A $100 non-refundable fee is assessed if a VocationVacations experience is cancelled or rescheduled prior to 14-days of the scheduled VocationVacations holiday, based on the approved availability of the mentor to reschedule. A VocationVacation cannot be rescheduled and is non-refundable if cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled VocationVacations holiday. Written notification of cancellation or rescheduling is required in all cases. Grounded Nomads, LLC dba VocationVacations encourages all customers to acquire travel insurance to cover any unforeseen expenses due to cancellation or rescheduling.
