“It’s a line drive!”Do you wish YOU were the one booming phrases like this over the PA orAM radio on game day? Then step out of your day job and step into theshoes of a sports announcer while test-driving your dream-job on thisexciting VocationVacations holiday with the Fort Worth Cats - the 2005 Central Baseball League champions!
LaGrave Field, homeof the Fort Worth Cats during two different baseball eras (1926-1964and 2002-today) has a history unmatched by any ballpark in Texas. Hallof Famers like Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, JackieRobinson, Ted Williams and Stan Musial all played and ran the bases atthe original ballpark, which was torn down in the late 60s. CurrentCats' owner Carl Bell rebuilt LaGrave field (a cherished part of hisboyhood) in 2002, and home plate now sits exactly where it did in 1926when the old facility opened.
In the midst of thishistory, a new Fort Worth tradition has been born - one where familiesand friends enjoy the old-fashioned joy of baseball, plus the thrillsand excitement of a modern-day ballpark.
