DesignSmith Interiors works to meet the needs of the individual by crafting uniquely beautiful spaces through the use of color and space. With a reputation for approaching challenges with enthusiasm and skill, DesignSmith Interiors began in 2002 with a mission to change the world - one beautiful room at a time. Principal designer and creative director, Pamela Smith, approaches design from a unique perspective. She brings her knowledge of design together with a love of philosophy and literature, to create well-balanced yet dynamic spaces. Pamela believes that everyone should live in a space that truly reflects their personality and their passion. And under her tutelage and mentorship, you too will learn how to add color to your life.

Featured in Inspired House Magazine (6/05) as a design expert, Pamela believes in “living out loud.” DesignSmith Interiors is affiliated with all the major design houses, and their network of professionals includes faux finish artists, custom furniture experts, contractors, etc. - the best and most conscientious craftsmen in each area. It’s all about detail and service, meeting the unique needs of each client.

During your VocationVacations adventure with DesignSmith Interiors you will have the opportunity to meet with clients, learn how to refine a color scheme, and visit the most beautiful home furnishing stores. They are always involved in several total home renovation projects so you can experience everything from a dreamy bedroom design to an exquisite kitchen remodel.

Your Interior Designer VocationVacations® dream job holiday activities will include some or all of the following:
  • Work with contractors
  • Choose fabrics
  • Choose colors
  • Work with floor plans
  • Work with vendors
  • Develop concept boards
  • Meet with clients
  • Assess clients’ needs
  • Discuss design philosophy
  • Develop your own “design style”
The DesignSmith Interiors VocationVacations® holiday includes:
  • Two days of one-on-one mentorship in your dream job
  • The ability to take the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®), an online personality assessment designed to identify interests and skill sets
  • The opportunity to participate in a total of one hour of pre- and post-VocationVacation career coaching from an accredited, affiliated VocationVacations career coach
  • A pocket-size VocationVacations journal so you can document your dream job becoming a reality
  • Light lunches with your mentor

To redeem HHonors points for a gift certificate or a VocationVacation, call your nearest Hilton Reservations & Customer Care Office and provide the appropriate Reward Code and your HHonors account number.

Reservation, Cancellation and Rescheduling Rules and Conditions:
A $100 non-refundable fee is assessed if a VocationVacations experience is cancelled or rescheduled prior to 14-days of the scheduled VocationVacations holiday, based on the approved availability of the mentor to reschedule. A VocationVacation cannot be rescheduled and is non-refundable if cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled VocationVacations holiday. Written notification of cancellation or rescheduling is required in all cases. Grounded Nomads, LLC dba VocationVacations encourages all customers to acquire travel insurance to cover any unforeseen expenses due to cancellation or rescheduling.
