Do you feel that race weekends ought to be made into federal holidays? Do you dream of being part of the winning team and holding the cup? Well get ready because Jep Thornton and his Automatic Racing team would love to share the excitement and passion of being part of a Grand-Am Cup Series pit crew with you!

You will be part of the Automatic Racing crew for an entire race weekend -- right at the heart of the action. The Grand Am Cup is comprised of four classes of race cars, all of which are production-based cars including BMW, Porsche, Acura, Lexus, Mazda and Audi. Automatic Racing’s team cars are the ever-powerful and easy-on-the-eyes BMW M3’s.

The Automatic Racing team is one of the most dynamic in the series. They are ready for an all-out assault this season after being ranked 9th out of a whopping 52 teams last year! The Automatic Racing team is made up of top drivers and crew members Jep Thornton and David Russell. Together they’ve been making rubber hit the road for 25 years.

The Automatic Racing team can only Mentor one Vocationer each race weekend. Space is very limited so book now!

While Vocationing with Automatic Racing you will be involved in some of the following activities:

• Getting a paddock pass
• Attend time trials
• Act as team member during races
• Flag during pit stops
• Participate in any and all special events with either sponsors or the team
• Water driver
• Listen to racing team interaction via headset during race
• Attend team meetings
• Visit with other teams
• Attend team meals

The Racing Team Member VocationVacation Holiday includes:

• Two or three days of one-on-one mentorship in your dream job as a Race Team Pit Crew Member
• The ability to take the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®), an online personality assessment designed to identify interests and skill sets
• The opportunity to participate in a total of one hour of pre- and post-VocationVacation career coaching from an accredited, affiliated VocationVacations career coach
• A pocket-size VocationVacations journal so you can document your dream job becoming a reality
• Light lunches with your mentor

Available: Friday-Saturday/Sunday based on racing schedule

Reservation, Cancellation and Rescheduling Rules and Conditions:
A $100 non-refundable fee is assessed if a VocationVacations experience is cancelled or rescheduled prior to 14-days of the scheduled VocationVacations holiday, based on the approved availability of the mentor to reschedule. A VocationVacation cannot be rescheduled and is non-refundable if cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled VocationVacations holiday. Written notification of cancellation or rescheduling is required in all cases.  Grounded Nomads, LLC dba VocationVacations encourages all customers to acquire travel insurance to cover any unforeseen expenses due to cancellation or rescheduling.
