Do you wish you could take your green thumb to the next level? Are you drawn to the “organically-grown” section of your grocery store? Would you like to fully appreciate what it takes to get produce from seedlings to the market place?

Then, here’s your opportunity to become one with the land! Stillman’s Farm is family-owned, currently operating at two locations: a greenhouse/retail business in Lunenburg, MA and the majority of vegetable production in New Braintree, MA. Glenn Stillman started the business in Lunenburg over 20 years ago and now enjoys the promise of the next generation, further expanding the very diverse enterprise. The farm also has several Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs established in Lunenburg, Jamaica Plain, and the Southboro/Framingham area. In addition, the farm's trucks have become a fixture at the Boston Area Farmer's Markets.

For more than twenty years, Stillman’s has grown and sold only the best produce. They are committed to providing great tasting, beautiful and “Conscientiously Grown®” fruits and vegetables.

Stillman's Greenhouses offer a wide variety of vegetable and bedding plants, herbs and perennials. They take pride in knowing all their plants are grown on the farm from start to finish. This allows them to offer customers the best selection of top quality plants.

The home farm is located in a picturesque town in Central Massachusetts. The Stillmans have a keen interest in wildlife and manage their farm to promote and enhance the rich ecology they are part of. This includes stewardship of food plots, habitat, and cultivation practices. The farm is also home to a small herd of Belted Galloway cattle which add to the diversity of the farm (and they consume all the leftover produce!). Glenn and Genevieve Stillman both have degrees in Landscape Architecture and enjoy the challenge of restoring the historic landscape of their New England Farm.

Glenn and Genevieve are ready to share their knowledge about growing great plants, cultivating good soils – and the business of starting and operating a farm.

Your Farming VocationVacations® dream job holiday activities will include some or all of the following:

  • General farm education
  • Propagation and horticultural experience - seeding and/or finishing plants for spring bedding sales, general greenhouse activities including watering, plant care, potting and retail displays (March-June)
  • Planting and cultivation of vegetable crops, care of perennial fruit crops, harvest of early greens, strawberries, greenhouse tomatoes and more! (June-July)
  • Harvest - loads of corn, tomatoes, greens, tree fruit, and all the specialty items; plant late season crops, pack and distribute Community Supported Agriculture boxes (July-October)
  • Retail sales of seasonal product at farm or Boston markets

The Stillman's Farmer VocationVacations holiday includes:

  • Two days of one-on-one mentorship in your dream job
  • The opportunity to participate in a total of one hour of pre- and post-VocationVacation career coaching from an accredited, affiliated VocationVacations career coach
  • A pocket-size VocationVacations journal so you can document your dream job becoming a reality
