The urban art movement has emerged, making cultural statements across the country. Man One is one of the most sought-after urban artists and gallery owners in the country. He is not only a college-degreed artist with a flair for bold bright murals, paintings, sketches, and major projects (MTV, Coca-Cola, Brand Jordan, CarMax, Adidas, etc) but as a gallery owner, he also advocates alternative artists of all kinds. His art openings consistently gather hundreds of attendees from all over the region and country.
Since its inception in May 2002, Crewest Store & Gallery operates as an advocate for underground artists from all over the world to experience the underground concept. "We are interested in promoting good art, going beyond the pre-conceived notions that all graffiti is bad, negative, and pointless,” says Man One. Crewest Store and Gallery is committed to the promotion of the best in underground art and culture. Its goal is to create lucrative opportunities for artists that allow their work to be seen and enjoyed at a professional and even commercial level.
Man One is going to show you everything you need to know about being an urban muralist and gallery owner, and will mentor you in some of all of the following activities:
Artistry:
- Techniques in aerosol art
- Mural design concept
- Assist with corporate and/or publicly-sponsored street mural(s)
Successful Marketing:
- Devising appropriate marketing materials (flyers, business cards)
- How to create a successful website
- Website maintenance and/or webmaster duties
- How to create extensive email lists of clients, press people, galleries, etc.
- Promoting locally
- Promoting globally
Finding your niche:
- How to create a unique identity for yourself and stand out from the crowd
- Creating a successful logo
- Finding your strengths and acknowledging your weaknesses
- Work ethic and how to manage business and creativity
Other points:
- Learn the importance of documenting your work
- Which method is most useful when documenting
- How to network effectively
- Dealing with contracts and negotiations
- Writing contracts
- Working with agents or reps
- Being an agent or rep
- How to work with others

The Muralist/Gallery Owner VocationVacations® holiday includes:

Full payment of the VocationVacations dream job holiday is required to make a reservation.
