Kim credits her rocket engineer father and psychic, social-worker mother with her belief that anything is possible. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Catholic University with a degree in speech and drama, Kim trained in London, receiving the help and guidance of several exceptional mentors. She has since spent the last 30 years following her true passion as a professional actress and voice artist. 

After moving from Atlanta to Siesta Key, Florida, traveling to auditions became laborious, at best. But as Kim likes to say, “Technology finally caught up with my American Express card!” With the advent of digital technology, Kim’s life was revolutionized. Hers was the first voice to ever be digitized and by 2001, she had built her very own sound studio. Now, she can “patch-in” real-time to any sound studio in the world, enabling her to fulfill her life-long dream of working in her pajamas (she promises not to wear her pajamas while Mentoring someone on a VocationVacation)!

Kim’s voice has helped represent numerous agencies, corporations and causes, including NASA, Kennedy Space Flight Center, Media One, AT&T, IBM, Sears, Publix, Lockheed Martin, McDonald’s, Nutrasweet, Support Our Troops and many, many more. There’s a strong chance you’ve even heard Kim’s voice when thinking, “I want to do that!”

  • Work with the microphone
  • Create a demo

  • Analyze sound production
  • Various styles of copy delivery: commercial, narration, telephony, etc.
  • Engineering/Audio mixing
  • Marketing yourself as a Voice-Over Actor

The Voice-Over Actor VocationVacations® dream job holiday includes:

  • Two days of one-on-one mentorship in your dream job as a Voice-Over Actor
  • The opportunity to participate in a total of one hour of pre- and post-VocationVacation career coaching from an accredited, affiliated VocationVacations career coach
  • A pocket-size VocationVacations journal so you can document your dream job becoming a reality
  • Light lunches with your mentor

Full payment of the VocationVacations dream job holiday is required to make a reservation. A $100 non-refundable fee is assessed if a VocationVacations experience is cancelled or rescheduled prior to 14-days of the scheduled VocationVacations holiday, based on the approved availability of the mentor to reschedule. A VocationVacations adventure cannot be rescheduled and is non-refundable if cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled VocationVacations holiday. Written notification of cancellation or rescheduling is required in all cases. In the US, Grounded Nomads, LLC and VocationVacations holidays encourage all customers to acquire travel insurance to cover any unforeseen expenses due to cancellation or rescheduling. In the UK, Grounded Nomads, Ltd and VocationVacations holidays must require all customers to acquire travel insurance to cover any unforeseen expenses due to cancellation or rescheduling and provide verification of such travel insurance to Grounded Nomads, Ltd.
