Veteran restaurateur Linette True owns Delilah’s. Linette has been in the restaurant business in one form or another for over 30 years. She began her career as a server, but in 1985 finally decided to make the leap to restaurateur. She paired up with a friend who had a business background and opened Delilah’s Restaurant. She operated the restaurant for six years, but found that supporting two families with revenue generated by one restaurant was a tough proposition. She and her business partner decided to go their separate ways, but Linette kept the name and opened up Delilah’s Catering.

Linette truly enjoys working with her clients and has true passion for her work. She’s also very active in the Portland Community, volunteering her time to give workshops that teach young single mothers how to cook and shop on a budget. In fact, last year Linette was voted “Volunteer of the Year” along with her daughter, Heather, by “Share Our Strength”.

While on your Caterer VocationVacations® dream job holiday, Linette will mentor you in some of all of the following activities:

• Meet with clients
• Create & Price Menus
• Determine Rental Needs (china, linen, canopies, etc.)
• Plan staffing for the kitchen and the event
• Deal with purveyors of produce, groceries, meat and fish
• Prepare cooking schedule
• Prepare food
• Coordinate staff jobs at the event
• Set up event, food and decor
• Serve guests

 The Caterer VocationVacation Holiday includes:

• Two days of one-on-one mentorship in your dream job as a Caterer
• The opportunity to participate in a total of one hour of pre- and post-VocationVacation career coaching from an accredited, affiliated VocationVacations career coach
• A pocket-size VocationVacations journal so you can document your dream job becoming a reality
• Light lunches with your mentor
