Do you really have what it takes to be a radio talk show personality? Do you have the voice, the quick wit, the comedic timing and the nerve? Well, if you are serious about pursuing your dream of being a radio personality or simply curious, then this Radio Personality VocationVacation is calling your name. Be forewarned – it is not for the faint of heart!

Your mentor, Dale Dudley, is the shock-jock co-host of the wildly successful, morning talk show, “Dudley and Bob”, on KLBJ – FM 93.7 . The show features Texas’ most talented musicians playing live each morning. They have won the title “Best Morning Show” from The Austin Chronicle eleven times and the “Best Radio Show” at the Austin Music Awards ten times! In 1997, Billboard Magazine named them “Personalities of the Year”! Oh…they also received a plug from NBC’s Today Show, and are regulars at Comedy Central’s Comedy Connection in New York City. This show rivals any strong cup of morning coffee!

Dale began his career at the ripe old age of seventeen at KTBB in his hometown of Tyler, Texas. Dale was quickly recognized for his radio talent as well as his comedic skills. Dale spent a few years on the road as a stand-up comedian but soon realized that his real love was radio. Dale was awarded three years running as Austin’s “Best Radio Personality” from 2001 to 2003. Dale Dudley’s unprecedented eighteen-year run as the infamous raucous morning talk show personality makes him a beloved Austin icon!

Dale’s second love is acting. He has played a variety of roles including “Head Magna Man” in “Spy Kids 2” with Antonio Banderas and Steve Bushemi, and starred in the independent release, “Brothers, Dogs, and God”, with G.W. Bailey. Dale’s voice has played six different characters in numerous animations and video games.

Dale Dudley and his production team are excited to mentor you in some or all of the following:
  • Actively be involved in the “Dudley and Bob” show from 6am until 10am on KLBJ 93.7 FM Morning Radio
  • Get a behind-the-scenes look of what it takes to operate an award-winning morning radio talk show
  • Meet each morning’s guest(s) which may vary from musicians, headlining comics and the occasional movie star
The Radio Talk Show Host VocationVacations experience includes:
  • One Day of one-on-one mentorship in your dream job as a Radio Personality
  • The opportunity to participate in a total of one hour of pre- and post-VocationVacation career coaching from an accredited, affiliated VocationVacations career coach
  • A pocket-size VocationVacations journal so you can document your dream job becoming a reality
  • Light lunch with your mentor

Available: All year, Monday - Friday, based on mentor's availability with exception of holidays

In the US, Grounded Nomads, LLC and VocationVacations holidays encourage all customers to acquire travel insurance to cover any unforeseen expenses due to cancellation or rescheduling.
