If you dream of your life going to the dogs, then this VocationVacations® holiday is for you! Christina Smart would love to share her passion as Top Dog at Club K9 Doggy Daycare.

Christina had hoped to become a canine law enforcement officer after attaining her degree in law enforcement but realized that it could take years to become a reality. Instead, she opened a pet sitting business – “Canines to Felines”. She operated it for eight years before deciding to take the leap into the world of dog daycare. It seemed like a natural step – she loves working with dogs and there was a definite niche for a daycare in her area of Ohio.

Club K-9 has over 6,000 square feet of indoor play space including a room with toddler beds and a TV for those tired pooches! The outdoor yard is 2,000 square feet with kiddy pools and play equipment.

Christina is a member of the North American Dog Daycare Association and American Boarding Kennel Association and attends several continuing-education seminars a year to keep up-to-date with all of the industry standards. * Assist in bringing new dogs into the group
* Participate to evaluate a dog for temperament/group matching
* Work with a large group of dogs
* Assist in exiting dogs from group
* Sanitation and safety in a Dog Daycare
* Monitor play for appropriate behaviors
* Practice pack management techniques
* Review staff training materials
* Learn how to schedule breeds/sizes of dogs and daily structure
* Gain an understanding of start-up, customer relations and marketing

The Dog Daycare VocationVacations® dream job holiday includes:

One day of one-on-one mentorship in your dream job as a Dog Daycare Owner

The ability to take the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®), an online personality assessment designed to identify interests and skill sets

The opportunity to participate in a total of one hour of pre- and post-VocationVacation career coaching from an accredited, affiliated VocationVacations career coach

A pocket-size VocationVacations journal so you can document your dream job becoming a reality

Light lunches with your mentor

Available: All year, Monday - Friday, based on mentor's availability with exception of holidays

Full payment of the VocationVacations dream job holiday is required to make a reservation. A $100 non-refundable fee is assessed if a VocationVacations experience is cancelled or rescheduled prior to 14-days of the scheduled VocationVacations holiday, based on the approved availability of the mentor to reschedule. A VocationVacations adventure cannot be rescheduled and is non-refundable if cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled VocationVacations holiday. Written notification of cancellation or rescheduling is required in all cases. In the US, Grounded Nomads, LLC and VocationVacations holidays encourage all customers to acquire travel insurance to cover any unforeseen expenses due to cancellation or rescheduling.
