Bio
 Drawing on over 20 years of Human Resources experience combined with training in Counseling and Coaching, Nancy Horwitz, MSEd, assists individuals and businesses to generate greater satisfaction and fulfillment. Prior to becoming a Professional Coach, Nancy was a high-level Human Resources manager and Senior Program Manager (Leadership Development) for Microsoft Corporation, where she was responsible for the development of a program to develop emerging leaders from around the world. In addition to her 10+ years at Microsoft, Nancy held HR positions with a variety of other businesses including Fidelity Investments, Agfa Corporation and GE.
During her corporate tenure, Nancy gained an appreciation of the challenges faced by employees during times of organizational change, job loss/change, career change and life change. She was struck by the number of people who were disconnected from their dreams and values and as a result, leading unsatisfying lives. While doing work to identify and clarify her own passions and values, Nancy realized that she wanted to blend her passions in the service of others which led her to start her coaching career to assist others to do the same. Founded in early 2005, NLH Development Associates is a Career/Life Coaching and HR Consulting practice that is devoted to assisting individuals and businesses to reach their potential and beyond.
Nancy holds a B.A. in Comparative Religion and MSEd. in Counseling Psychology and is in the process of becoming a Certified Coach through Coach Training Institute (CTI) and the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Interests
Nancy is passionate about the outdoors---hiking, kayaking, biking. Simply being outdoors and aware of beauty of the world of nature inspires her. Music is another passion---singing in particular. She also loves spending time with her dog.
Unique Opportunities and Adventures
Fun adventure experiences have included Bungee Jumping, Sky Diving and Hang Gliding in New Zealand (all within 24 hours), Climbing Mount Sinai and Masada for sunrise and Hiking to Machu Picchu in Peru. Her Biking and Kayaking has taken her through New Zealand, Oregon, Washington State and Nova Scotia among other places.
Nancy is interested in blending these interests with coaching---moving people outside of their comfort zones in the quest of self-discovery.
