Jeffrey Levine
Title:
Career and Business Coach, Speaker, Radio Show Host and Author of The No Fear, Low Stress, Step-by-Step Career Change Guide.
Mission:
“I am a catalyst for growth, understanding and deeper connection in the lives of everyone I meet.”
Bio:
I know what it is like to be in a career that no longer fits. Prior to my coaching career, I had the opportunity to try out a few careers, and learned the importance of the phrase “No, not that.”
I was the Director of Finance and Business Affairs at a boutique Hollywood talent agency, overseeing all human resources, accounting, and contract functions for over five years - coaching both the CEO/Founder and the President on issues of management, employee and client relations and overall business strategy. During that time the agency doubled in size over three years - in the same period, the entertainment industry experienced a dramatic downturn. Yet I knew that it was not the right long-term direction for me.
Earlier in my career I wrote advertising for Ogilvy & Mather and Grey Advertising, creating ads for clients such as Transamerica, Caesar’s Palace, Knudsen and Lucky Supermarkets. Prior to my life in advertising, I spent a number of years as a composer, producer and founder of the music production company, Joined At The Hip, scoring movie trailers and commercials for a wide variety of clients.
However, it was not until I discovered coaching in 2000, through much exploration as well as trial and error, that I felt that I had landed on a career that was fulfilling, rewarding, and a perfect fit with my personality.
In addition to professionals in career transition, one of my passions is coaching fathers through the challenges of attempting to manage a career while staying deeply connected to their family - something I can certainly relate to. I host an internet radio show called Dad At Work (on www.BigMediaUsa.com - on the Big Biz channel), and I also host a blog by the same name (www.DadAtWork.com). If you are interested in this topic, you can find more information on coaching for fathers at www.ExecutiveDads.com.
In 2005 I had the privilege of serving as President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Professional Coaches and Mentors Association. I am a Certified Professional Coach through the Coaches Training Institute. My wife and I recently had the honor and the challenge of home-schooling our daughter through high school. Currently the three of us live in Los Angeles with our dog and two cats.
Testimonials:
"When I started, I was at a critical juncture in my career path. I had to choose whether or not to continue to simply be another cog in the wheel in the corporate infrastructure or to break free and do something I loved instead. Fortunately, Jeffrey helped me conquer some of my fears and steered me in a direction where I would be happy in all aspects of my life. I'm happy to say that I'm now on the road to achieving this."
S.C. Hermosa Beach, CA
"Jeffrey is a tremendous resource for anyone looking to change careers. By providing the right questions, I was guided to a choice that is both nourishing and profitable. My only regret is I didn't take it on earlier."
R.C. Sherman Oaks, CA
"Jeffrey helped me begin a journey I could have never imagined just six months ago. I have a clearer understanding of myself and what I can contribute to the world. Thank you!"
